Air conditioner safety Vancouver WA
« on: July 12, 2012, 06:18:32 AM »
It seems this summer many people have decided to open the windows and try their luck with the summer heat. So far, for 5 children this year this has been a very costly approach. This morning on the news they told us of yet another child who has fallen from an upper floor open window. When a child falls from an open window we would ask ourselves how could this happen? How could I have prevented this? Answer: Turn on the Air Conitioner in Vancouver Wa and sucure these windows. Make your home a safe place for the children to play. If you do not have an air conditioner Vancouver WA and you would like one installed then give us a call and we would be glad to help. Have a great summer and keep those kids safe.

Now since JUNE 1st the number has been raised to 10. Now since June first 10 children have fallen from upper floor open windows. These windows are being opened because of lack of air conditioning wanting the breeze to come in. The problem is the children fall out.

Accidents do happen in the Home

* 500,000 under the age of 4 are injured in the home every year.

* Fire is the greatest cause of accidental death. 46% of fatal accidents to children are caused by fire

* 39% of all children’s accidents are from falling. 10 children die each year from falling through a window or off a balcony

* The largest number of accidents are caused in the lounge/living area with the most serious accidents caused in the kitchen30,000 children go to A&E with signs of poisoning – usually occurring from taking domestic cleaning substances.

* 50,000 children under the age of 14 go to A&E because of a burns or scalds.

* So far this year in the Portland Oregon, In then news as of this morning there has been 10 children who have fallen from their upper floor windows. Some have been very lucky, and many not so much. Installing air conditioning will help to keep these windows closed. If you cannot afford air conditioning perhaps window locks would be a good idea. Window locks make sure the window only opens enough to let the air in and not enough to let the kids out.
